Jal-Sajni (Boond)

February 13, 2008 at 6:29 am (videos)

I’m in total awe of Jal and this song. This is the best song and video coming from them. How they started off and where they have gotten now, it’s terrific.
I fell in love with this song the first time i heard it, and also because Farhan is sucha hottie!!!
Anyhoo…enjoy the song!

LYRICS:

Main teri aankhon mein rehta hoon,
Tujhe pata na chale
Tere har pal mein guzra hoon,
Tujhe pata na chale
Kare toh phir kya karein,
Tere bin kaise jiyein.
Aankhon mein pyaar liye,
Bolo kahaan kahaan phirein.

Khafa toh hum bhi hain tum bhi ho,
Hamein pata na chale
Judaai ka mujhe ghum bhi hai
Koi aisi khata na kare

Karein toh phir kya karein
Tere bin kaise jiyein
Aankhon mein pyaar liye
Bolo kahaan kahaan phirein

Sajni paas bulaao na ke dil aaj toota hai
aaj toota hai
Saajan maan jaao na ke woh aaj ruthha hai
aaj ruthha hai
koi usse manaaye na
Jaan-e-jaan….dil tujhe hi chahe na
hooo …oooo… hoooooooo

Hamein dil se bhulaao na
Yehi ab kehna hai
Tum pass aaaon na….aao naaaaaaaaaaaaa

Sajni paas bulaao na
Saajan maan jaao na
Sajni paas bulaao na

Sajni paas bulaao na ke dil aaj toota hai
aaj toota hai
Saajan maan jaao naaaa….aaaa

Sajni paas bulaao na
Saajan maan jaao na

Sajni paas bulaao na

SRK and cricket

January 26, 2008 at 3:32 am (Uncategorized) (, , , , )

Here’s SRK going all out for the already disabled women’s hockey team of India, and soon after he switched gears to join the cricket teams. He’s a genius, no doubt! I can’t comment on the man’s acting skills, but genius he surely is or rather words like a good businessman should be used. He’s been around in Bollywood for over a decade now and surely has made some heavy amount. Ofcourse, to use all that money, he bids on the IPL along with Priety Zinta, Mukesh Ambani, and Vijay Mallya and wins!
So here’s wishing SRK good luck with cricket now that he own the league. Now who dares to put a chrage against Khan for smoking at his own team’s game? Any challengers in the house!

Tables have turned

January 8, 2008 at 6:54 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , )

Now that the whole India vs. Australia scene is past news, a new charge has come up against Brad Hogg for passing racial gestures towards MS Dhoni and the skipper captian Anil Kumble. Hogg is to be presented against the ICC board on Jan 14th, 08. Let’s see what the decision will be now.

As for the doubtful question whether India will continue the series was a question. Well not anymore, BCCI and ICC have settled on common grounds, the games will continue. As of Harbhajan Singh’s continuation is still a doubt.

All the choas between the two contries certainly is not good news. This should not have occured on the fields. When two countries of this calibre come onto the fields, the crowds expect a certain sportsmanship to be displayed. The game of cricket is followed by each and every man, woman and child of both countries. What was called a gentlemen’s game a while back, well there’s nothing gentle in it anymore.

The more the anger the better, the more the tharashing the better, and more publicity the better. No! the game of cricket needs to rediscover itself. If false decision is what caught the umpire Bucker to be removed from the game, I think for a racial remark, suspension from the game is not asking for too much.  But there needs to be some basis of decision making. An umpire cannot just ask the players of the field for the decision. It’s true that a fielder knows best about what they have been doing on the field but what are umpires for!

Tour turns sour

January 7, 2008 at 9:24 am (Uncategorized) (, , , , , )

By now all are well aware of the situation that occured on the fields while the Indian cricket team was on a test match series tour to the Aussie land. It all started with Australia’s last visit to India, in which posters were made by the spectators with offensive words towards Andrew Symmonds. Now, months later, on Sunday, the third day of the second test…we all saw (i did too!) a chit chat happening between Harbhajan Singh and Symmonds which instantly lead to Ricky Ponting complaining about it to the umpires. Apparently, Harbhajan had repeated the offensed words and Symmonds took offense (ofcourse!).

Now neither you or i know the complete truth…but on the accounts of Australian players’ testimony Harbhajan has been suspended from the next three test matches…if this wasn’t a real sour experince for the Indian on the aussie fields…to make matters worse there were some unfair umpiring, where two of the players were given out at the wrong moment…resulting in India’s defeat (not that India’s chances are ever bright against Australia…but its still wrong umpiring, and the BCCI are taking action against it). I’m still willing to let go of the wrong judgement, it happens…but with todays technology and advancement…when Steve Buckner wasn’t sure of what the decision should be, he walks over to the other umpire Mark Benson to discuss what they should do. Now as any sensible umpire would do, signal for third umpires (i mean what are these third umpires doing anyways with a TV..put them to some use..make their penny’s worth), instead Buckner looks for Ponting who signals and out and thus Buckner gives an out. Is this what umpires are doing now…i personally do not feel that Benson or Buckner in particular were worthy umpires.

Following all this, chaos has occured in both country’s media regarding what truly happened and what should have. Now Symmonds is unavaiable for comment or rather has been forced to be unvailable is still a question…still the question arises that are aussie really playing to win or are playing to humilate (ownself in this case!).

Sure australia has a lead of 2-0 in the series…but is this victory a truly deserved one or than a stolen one. Aussies have been the masters of cricket for a long time, and without a doubt have the best line of batsmen, finest bowlers and a spectalur fielders, but the point still remins, do they have the sportsman spirit. There have been numerous accounts of players being harassed by the opponent team especially if it happens to be South Asian.

We have stepped into 2008 and we proudly say that today the world is diverse, but where is diversity when it comes to play. A sport should be taken in its spirit and such things are the part and parcel of any game. When Aussies decide to slam a player which their remarks, they should be fully prepared to get a whole lot in return, especially if its us Indians. We weren’t the weak kinds 60 years ago and were certainly not weak today.

Not in this lifetime

January 3, 2008 at 7:53 am (Uncategorized) (, , , )

So randomly as it happened I was just checking out the latest happenings of the Bollywood world and couldn’t help but notice yet another calendar launch. This time it only features the coveted Bipasha Basu (yes!) and a little something else.

Though this time it wasn’t Daboo Ratani or Subi Samuel…but Kinetic Flyte’s Scooty which so proudly chose Bips as their brand ambassador.

still2.jpg

No offense, but the whole bike (and its step sister: Scooty) and any other speed related things were a John Abraham domain.

Not that there is anything wrong with scootys, i love them myself, but it looks like Bips is trying to toughen up her image and here’s a living proof. After the image below…i went on a hysteric laughter attack as if the above wasnt funny enough. In case you miss what Im hinting at, then pay particular attention to Bipasha’s neckpiece which she flaunts oh so proudly.
Enjoy!

Disclaimer: None of what is mentioned above is to hurt any of the fan’s feelings, as I am a HUGE fan of Basu…so take it light :)

Subi Samuel’s Alchemy Calendar 2008

December 19, 2007 at 5:56 pm (pics) (, , , , , , )

Subi Sameul is one of the great known photogrpaher of India, namely the Bollywood Industry. This year again Samuel launched a calendar with the whose who of Bollywood varying from actors to directors. Some of the featured celebreties are Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and other well-known celebs of BTown.

The launch saw the familiar faces of bollywood like Priyanka Chopra, Reitesh Deshmukh, Karan Johar and many more.

Subi’s this year’s calendar ‘Alchemy 2008′ was as unique as Daboo Ratnani’s 2007 water based calendar, which also featured bollywood’s big names. This year, each month would feature a celeb showcased in an exciting action sequence of a comic strip. This new calendar features 24 bollywood’s big names playing different characters.

hrithik.jpg
Hrithik Roshan, the macho man

lara.jpg
Lara Dutta, sexiest undercover cop

srkk.jpg
Shah Rukh Khan, godfather?

pri.jpg
Priyanka Chopra, lava girl

desh.jpg
Reitesh Deshmukh, Casanova!

This calendar is truly in my opinion one of the best Subi has to offer

BUT

before go all ga-ga over this one…its a complete rip-off from Frank Miller’s comic for example remember the movie that created a whole lotta buzz and didn’t really work out (Sin City?…yes!) and also one of the best to hit 2008, with all due respect to Kingfisher. Subi’s amazing interview regarding the calendar shoot and also the deciding about this very unique concept is available here!

To see more of who are showcased in this calendar, you can go here!

December 17, 2007 at 6:14 am (pics) (, , , , )

alright people…so here is a little humourous situation as i think that this may have happened by looking at the picture…

yes you all are right, i have lost it a bit since my finals are tommorow and my brain is fully exhausted from studying, so i was looking at the latest buzz of bollywood and found these…

and this is what happened at Pammi Bari’s birthday bash

DISCLAIMER: Everything written below is just meant for light humour and nothing personal. These are just some fun comments and they are not necessarily my opinion, the captions represent the sterotypes of bollywood. SO just take lightly and smile a little.

Karan: No no anil, what are you saying, i was just complementing her on her saawariya work, she was quite good.

Anil: yea well compliments don’t work, alright, you better give a role to her in your next movie
Karan: but, i’ve already got Shah Rukh and Kajol for ‘Khan’…i can’t replace my best friends for another great talent…try and understand sir…i only work with my friends
Anil: zayada bole ga na to phod daaloun ga….take sonam or else
Karan: ofcourse sir, i will
Anil: JHAKAS!!!!!

44.jpg

Anil: Eh Rishi, Karan is taking my daughter in his film, if you say i can talk to him about Ranbir too
Rishi: No, i want him to stay away from my son, Ranbir doesn’t roll that way.

That’s all folks!
